Welcome to our practice! My job wouldn't be the same without the community that surrounds us. Our patients really are the best! It is my absolute privilege to partner with our community for the past 20 years, as together, we have built much more than great smiles. The patients that choose our practice really become an extension of our own families. After treatment, it is wonderful to look back and reflect on our time together and share a parting hug.

Prior to becoming an orthodontist I attended Vanderbilt University, where I received my BA in 1980. I then went to the University of Pittsburgh Dental School, where I graduated with my DMD in 1984. Afterward, I completed my Orthodontic Residency MSD at Temple University in 1986.

In order to provide my patients with cutting-edge orthodontics, I have made a commitment to be a perpetual student of orthodontics, searching for new and innovative ways to ensure our practice is always at the forefront. I have spent many hours at the Las Vegas Institute studying occlusion with innovative and progressive dentists who are amongst the nation's finest. I am a frequent participant in regional and national orthodontic meetings and study clubs and am also a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics.

I think what makes our practice really special is that we love what we do. My team members are engaged in trying to make your orthodontic treatment a great experience. Our staff has 115 years of collective experience in orthodontics! Our experience makes the difference for our patients.

My wife, Susan, and I have four daughters: Stefanie, Kara, Emily, and Jenna, as well as three dogs. My family keeps me busy! We love running, fishing, and kayaking together. I also hold community service as a high priority and have served on numerous community boards including as President of both the Jacksonville Jewish Federation and the Jacksonville Jewish Center. I presently serve on the North Florida Foundation board. In 2008, I was honored as the recipient of the Joe P. Safer lifetime achievement award for community service.
